Vision & Mission

In response to current trends in climate change, ecological conservation, environmental protection, and the development of bio-materials to maintain the sustainable development of the global ecosystem and human society, as well as becoming a leading center for forestry education and research, the following mission and objectives are established for the department.

 

Vision:

To pursue excellence in education and research in forestry, sustainable forestry, and natural conservation.
 

Mission:

To dedicate efforts to professional education and innovative research, expand services related to forest ecosystems, promote advancements in utilizing and recycling biological materials, address climate change and environmental conservation, enhance various functions of forest ecosystems such as carbon sequestration, and achieve sustainable development goals.

 

Core Competencies of Students:

To cultivate outstanding professionals in forestry, sustainable forestry, natural conservation, and carbon sequestration, the department offers four divisions: "Forest Biology," "Forest Environment," "Biological Materials," and "Resource Conservation and Management." These divisions aim to develop the following core competencies among students:

 

Undergraduate Program:

Proficiency in the following fundamental knowledge and skills related to forest environment and resources:

◇ Environmental and soil conservation

◇ Material utilization and recycling

◇ Management and governance

 

Master's Program:

Expertise in the following professional knowledge and skills related to forest environment and resources:

Doctoral Program:

Research ability in innovative and integrated forest science.
